Ya' wee beauty!

There I was sitting behind the bushes trying to get a clear shot of a Goosander on the river, when I heard the thin, high pitched call of a Goldcrest.  I find these one of the most difficult birds to photograph, particularly when using long lens.  It flits from twig to twig making it very hard to keep track and focus - and it's always high in the tree, so holding the camera still is a real chaellenge!  But at last, I've managed to capture it in focus - and showing its golden crest!  Also shown below is the Goosander.  Often seen on the river at this time of year as it makes its way up river to breed. (They often breed in specially placed nest boxes!).
